Fisterra/Muxía Day 1 Santiago de Compostela to Negreira +-22km’s

The decision to continue with #WalkingForLife was made and now we’re walking to Fisterra and Muxía.

Starting out at the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela seemed strange this morning as it’s normally where I end my Camino’s.

It was the first time I’ve walked a Camino with Rob, a totally awesome experience. We were fortunate to have Pam a member of our Confraternity walking with us.

We were not far out of the city and then it started raining. The ponchos came out but that was short lived, very happy about that.

In my opinion it was a typical Galician Camino stage similar to Francés. A combination of forests, paths and road.

We checked in at Albergue Turistico De Logrosa at around 3pm.

Leaving Santiago de Compostela.

Off to Fisterra first then Muxía.

Misty view of the Cathedral.

Poncho time.

Pretty garden on the route.

The forest path.

A late morning snack was required.

Smelling the roses.
