Day 2 San Sebastián to Orio +-18km’s

We left San Sebastián at 7:15am. The weather was typical of Northern Spain, lots of rain about. Somehow we avoided most of it. A miracle in my opinion. My arm needed to remain dry, a real blessing.

The route took us approximately 6.8km’s from San Sebastián to Igueldo. As we got to the end of La Concho beach we found a hotel that served coffee and breakfast. It was time to cover the backpacks as it started drizzling.

The climb up to Igueldo was not a bad one, we managed to have fantastic ocean views despite the grey skies. I struggled with the GoPro attachment on my backpack but I guess Johann can work with some of the footage.

From Igueldo we walked another 10km’s to Orio and checked in at Albergue De Peregrinos for the night. It took us ages walking through the mud and some steep downhills on smooth stones. I’m over cautious on the downhills at the moment.

A few random pics on the route.
