Day 34 Sobrado to Arzúa +-22km’s

I woke early stepped outside and it was 10 degrees celsius. It’s rather cold for summer in my opinion. Nowhere to sit in the Monastery so I found a cold stone, sat down and prepped the feet like I do every morning. I’m in such a routine that I cannot quite fathom how I’m going to end this Camino. It’s probably best to just start another one.

Sandra and I headed straight to the bar to get coffee to kick start the day.

Today we walked the end stages of the Del Norte taking the longer route by 8km’s to connect with the Francés at Arzua. I did not feel I could walk another 30km day by taking the shorter route. It would have also meant more road walking. The Camino Del Norte is over and it feels rather strange to me.

The route took us through Castro, Madelos, Corredoiros, Boimil, A Gándara (Boimorto), Sandelle and finally Arzúa.

Our spot for the night. Very cramped.

Saying goodbye to the Monastery in Sobrado.
