Day 33 Santa Leocadia / Carballedo to Sobrado +-31km’s
We departed at 7:30am. A long journey lay ahead as we planned a long day to Sobrado.
It was threatening to rain all day but fortunately it did not. The route was beautiful most of the day except for some road walking.
It was lovely and quiet with very few Pilgrims on the route.
We managed to find an Albergue and bar open really early in A Lagoa. My breakfast was Santiago tart and coffee.
The route between Miraz and A Roxica was 10km’s without services and of course I was hungry again.
By the time I got to Miraz, it was time for a Boccodilla, a decent big one.
There is something about Galicia that I love, the forests seem to be more beautiful than any I’ve seen all over the world.
At 4:30pm we were kept very busy checking into the Sobrado Monastery. It felt like an army ritual. This place needs an urgent refurb but I still love it. Sadly the Albergue room we in is not the best.
On the road again with Sandra.
The locals making sure we don’t make error in their village.
