Day 32 Vilalba to Santa Leocadia / Carballedo +-28km’s
Sandra and I set off around 7:30am. I was in no rush to get going this morning. We kind of strolled out of Vilalba. A cloudy somewhat cold morning, it did not warm up much today. I guess it was the perfect weather for a long day. At one point the ponchos came out but that was short lived. If there is one thing I really love about Galicia, it’s the beautiful forests. Quite a substantial amount was forest walking today. It seems different to the other provinces for some reason. Today we passed the 100km’s to go way-mark. The gradient was mostly level today, much to my delight. It’s hard to believe I’ve covered so many km’s on foot since 18 June.
The route took us through small villages, San Xoan de Alba, Pedrouzos, Pígara, Baamonde, San Breixo De Parga, Digañe and finally settling at Albergue Witericus in Santa Leocadia / Carballedo.
