Day 26 Luarca to Navia +-22km’s
I got up slightly later this morning after a decent six hours sleep. Staying in a Pensión has its advantages, not that I had a choice last night. Albergues are not always freely available in the towns where I need to stop for the night. I’m fortunate that I had booked in Albergue San Roque in Navia as it’s full tonight. The Albergue is a year old and it’s privately run.
Today I walked through small farming towns and many having beautiful sea views.
The village of Bao really go all out with the Camino spirit. See pics below.
A Spanish Camino tour caught up to me, they were all wearing the same t-shirts. By the time we got to Villaloril, the taxi was waiting for them to be collected for the day.
I was amazed to see fynbos (ericas) just like we have back home and they were in bloom.
A relief having a more flat elevation for a change.
Today’s route took me through Otur, Bao, Villapedre, Piñera, Villaloril, La Colorada and settling in Navia.
Selfie leaving Luarca.
Luarca on the way out and of course up.
Avoided that trail for a change.
